Welcome to the BigHorn 50‑Plus Club

Welcome to the BigHorn Golden Age 50‑Plus Club.

The BigHorn Golden Age Club promotes and maintains healthy lifestyles for older adults through social and recreational interaction, culture, and education for members and the community. The Club also aims to educate and inform members and the general public of the significance of growing older today through healthy lifestyle choices and active community engagement.

Membership is open to anyone in the community aged 50 and up. The annual fee is $30 (January–December) and includes full access to the building, amenities, and programs. Facility rentals are available to members at a discount and to the public.

Members have full use of the facility, including the Main Hall and members‑only Lounge and Library. The Main Hall is used for social gatherings, workshops, classes, presentations, dances, and concerts. The Lounge offers shuffleboard, carpet bowling, dartboards, pool tables, ping pong, and card and game tables. The Library includes books, puzzles, DVDs, and more.

Programs are offered throughout the year, as either paid or free activities for members and the community, such as soap making, cooking classes, or live music dances. Special events such as the Christmas wine & cheese, St. Patrick’s Day celebration, and Oktoberfest dance are organized for members and guests only.

Weekly activities include line dancing, Palette Pals art club, chair yoga, cards, stitchin’ time, cribbage, carpet bowling, and other activities members may wish to organize. Cultural presentations are held on select Sundays.

Members are encouraged to volunteer, and volunteer hours are recorded to help support grant funding. The club is run by a volunteer executive and committees — there are no paid staff. Committees include Kitchen, Club Activities & Entertainment, Maintenance/Shop, Membership, Special Events, and Decorating. “Many hands make light work.”

The Club communicates through Facebook, a monthly calendar, posters, bulletin boards, email, announcements at monthly suppers, and this website. Members are encouraged to provide an email address to stay informed.
